  • A good education should break down barriers, not erect them. 19/8/20
My grandfather who dies before I was born, once told my mum that education is the most important thing he could leave for his children, more important than wealth and riches.
  • Barbie, the film, asked, do you ever think about dying? 2/8/23
Barbie, the film, asked, do you ever think about dying? 2/8/23
  • We must accept finite disappointment but never lose infinite hope. 5/12/21
A few weeks ago I was asked what I was hoping for. I was taken by surprise the fact that I couldn't automatically rail out a list of things. At times of crisis, I felt that descprate sense of hope for things fall outside of my control, the hope of having a family, a home, a dream job, the hope of healing and recovery for loved ones facing death. But in that particular momment, I hoped for nothing. I realised this lack of wanting hadn't come out sense of profound contentment, but instead represent a feeling that perhaps hope was futile. Perhaps I hope for nothing, after saying prayers never answered, wishes never granted, flashbacks of hopes never realises.
