The lockdown on places of worship has begin to ease, and after 4 months of attending online church, many christian are rejoicing as they gathered to celebrate the Eucharist. I remained at home still unsure how long it will be until I can safely join in person.

One 1st April 1968, the reverend Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. was assasinated. The civil right leadership has brought him to the city in support of ongoing strike by black sanitation workers. He's being about to lead their march in protest against poor wages and working conditions. Two and half weeks earlier he has delivered a speech on the intertwined nature of racial and economic injustice, telling crowd that all labour which serves and builds up humanity has dignity. He held up the striking sanitation workers as an example. Their work collecting rubbish is as crucial as doctors' in preventing spread of disease.
