Another night with record breaking low temperature, on being asked by presenter, "Was it being cold?" The happy person being interviewed said, "Absolutely!" At that point I sighed. So many times these day when asked a question in pretty much any subject, for example, "Will this help?" the answer is so often, "Absolutely!" And I cringe. I've always take it to mean, not a meeting exceptions, complete, utter, perfect. So was the temperature absolutely zero, is when nothing could be colder. So the answer to the question, "Is it cold?" should be a simple "Yes." Grrr...
