Government has launched new heath campaign to encourage us to shed some pounds. It's a mix of better information, regulation of advertising, and opportunities to exercise. And the context, obviously is COVID19. Being overweight, says the expert, put you more at risk which is why "Buy one get one free" deals of unhealthy food would be banned, as part of government act to tackle obesity in England, and junk food adverts would be banned before 9pm in the UK.

Thanks to the dreadful Corrona virus, millions of people are suddenly forced to stay indoors to lock the world out, but some of us, daily life hasn't changed that much, I am a writer and like a lot of shy people I am used to be alone. Use could say, I have being self-isolating for 37 years.

This week I had my annual Christmas party with an old friend from University, it consists of mince pie, a bottle of Scotch, and ghost stories. Christmas is a surprisingly spooky time of year. Many people like to dig out stories by M.R.James and Charles Dickens, and it's intruguing that the most famouse Christmas tale involves a man being tormented by the dead.
